Membership & Club Hire

The City Club of Norwich are the tenants of Bacon House, 33 Colegate, Norwich, NR3 1BN. Their membership is for Gentlemen & at present they number around 90.

Members of The City Club meet several times a month for lunches, dinners & other calendar specific functions. Guests are frequently invited by members & this is the usual route for an introduction to membership which carries an annual fee. By being invited & joining The Club a member is entitled to use the premises at any time during opening hours & has unlimited use of the snooker table facility. There are annual excursions across the County to local coastal resorts & cricket festivals.

The Club is on the first floor & consists of a well stocked bar as well as the ability to hold several different types of function in the main area. Charity Race Nights & a buffet are often held which attract numbers of around 70. If the function is a sit down meal then numbers are limited to 40 & are Silver Service. The Club has a House Manager & Head Chef who are available for consultation on menu selections. We are serviced by a Head Steward & bar prices are exceptionally competitive compared to normal public houses. There is a premises hire fee which is £80 & the food is negotiable depending on numbers, quantity & type of service required.
