Trafalgar Dinner 2024

 

On Monday 21st October the Club held their annual Black Tie Trafalgar Dinner event with over thirty members sitting down to a slendid four course meal thanks to our Chef Mr. Danny Wong. 

After dinner we were treated to an intriguing account of the days leading up to the Battle of Trafalgar & the role Nelson played with his sub-ordinates as they prepared to take on the combined fleet of the Spanish & French Navies. This was delivered expertly by Mr. Chris Pointer who, also educated us in the flag system, used in those times to pass coded messages between our ships in readiness for battle. 

A silent toast was then given with a wonderful glass of Nelson's Blood as brewed by our very own Mr. Kelvin Browne. A wonderful evening which was over all too quickly.
