• There have been two very enjoyable Friday lunches recently where the atmosphere was excellent. The Trafalgar Night was also a roaring success with many members coming forward to say how much they enjoyed the evening. The Club has also recently been hired out to The Lavender Club & The Norfolk Branch of The Royal Marines Association which again were very successful, bringing in much needed extra revenue to boost Club funds & keep our treasurer happy. Many thanks to Michael, Head Steward & Frank, House Manager, for staffing the bar on these occasions. 
   
• Earlier this year the Executive Committee were required to vote on the expulsion of member Mr. Tony Stock, from The Club. Since then Mr. Stock has instructed a legal representative to appeal this process & twelve members have put their name to a letter which disagrees with the decision taken. The Executive Committee voted recently to uphold their original decision & to push back on the appeal. Thanks to the diligence of Mr. Hale & a number of other committee members, The Club have, within their insurance, legal cover which they intend to utilise in these circumstances. At the recent functions, many members approached the President, Vice-President & Secretary to offer their support towards the trustees & committee for the positive action they took in relation to Mr. Stock.
   
• The Club has had a new oven installed very recently & word back from our two chefs is very positive in terms of the efficiency it now provides when preparing food at functions. 
   
• With Christmas not far away the dates for the members & guests lunch is Friday 12^th December & the members only lunch Friday 19^th December. The traditional Lotto Ball Draw is currently up on the bar with each number at £15.00 with a one year free membership being the first prize.
